Certification de common law en français (CCLF)
Windsor Law is proud to offer students the opportunity to pursue the Certification in Common Law in French (CCLF) through a collaborative partnership with the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. This program connects Windsor Law students to a national network of common law programs in French and provides a unique opportunity to study law in both of Canada’s official languages.
Through the CCLF, Windsor Law students with French-language proficiency can develop advanced skills in French legal writing, advocacy, and legal analysis, while gaining a deeper understanding of language rights and bilingualism in Canada’s legal system.
Why the CCLF Matters
Students who complete the CCLF are well positioned to:
Serve Francophone and bilingual clients in the language to which they are entitled
Contribute to the administration of justice in both official languages
Pursue legal careers where bilingual legal training is a strong asset
Strengthen eligibility for opportunities within the federal public service and courts
Join a national network of French common law students and alumni connected through the University of Ottawa’s French Common Law Program

Language Requirements
Because these courses are taught entirely in French, students must have sufficient French proficiency to participate. Eligibility is assessed through an informal online interview with the instructor prior to enrolment.

La Faculté de droit de l’Université de Windsor est fière d’offrir aux étudiantes et étudiants la possibilité de poursuivre la Certification de common law en français (CCLF) grâce à un partenariat de collaboration avec la Faculté de droit de l’Université d’Ottawa. Ce programme permet aux étudiantes et étudiants de Windsor Law de s’inscrire dans un réseau national de programmes de common law en français et offre une occasion unique d’étudier le droit dans les deux langues officielles du Canada.
Grâce à la CCLF, les étudiantes et étudiants de Windsor Law possédant une bonne maîtrise du français peuvent développer des compétences avancées en rédaction juridique, plaidoirie et analyse juridique en français, tout en acquérant une compréhension approfondie des droits linguistiques et du bilinguisme au sein du système juridique canadien.

Offrir des services juridiques aux clients francophones et bilingues dans la langue à laquelle ils ont droit
Contribuer à l’administration de la justice dans les deux langues officielles

Renforcer leur admissibilité à des occasions au sein de la fonction publique fédérale et des tribunaux
Se joindre à un réseau national d’étudiantes, d’étudiants et d’anciens des programmes de common law en français, lié au Programme de common law en français de l’Université d’Ottawa
La CCLF appuie l’engagement de Windsor Law envers l’éducation juridique bilingue et prépare les étudiantes et étudiants à s’engager de manière significative dans le paysage juridique multilingue du Canada.
Exigences linguistiques
Étant donné que ces cours sont offerts entièrement en français, les étudiantes et étudiants doivent posséder une maîtrise suffisante de la langue française pour y participer. L’admissibilité est évaluée au moyen d’une entrevue informelle en ligne avec le professeur avant l’inscription.
